Remember that Mercedes plant that NC wanted to land? Well, it turns out that the Mercedes plant will be built on a parcel that includes the historic Glenridge Hall mansion. The Atlanta developer (Ashton Woods) that owns the property will build the plant on a portion of the parcel and then plans to demolish Glenridge Hall to put in a "luxury" housing development

It's a real shame to lose this beautiful house.

How is it that the Teatards in Georgia's General Assembly are OK with incentivizing this growing, kind to the environment, well paying industry but our Teatards in Raleigh have run this industry out of the state on a rail. This really, really p*sses me off!! :angry1:

COLONY SQUARE . . .

"This is a new concept in the South... It's a good concept, really, in the whole country and the world".

F&M, you'll like this: from todays TBJ: "The Georgia Institute of Technology could transform the state into a leader for artificial intelligence manufacturing with the help of a federal grant that could be up to $100 million. The U.S. Economic Development Administration announced Georgia Tech and its industry partners as one of 60 finalists in the $1 billion Build Back Better Regional Challenge, which is part of the American Rescue Plan."
