I have been using OpenAI ChatGPT and DALL-E for a couple of other projects I'm working on and I thought I would try some other approaches for structuring my questions for the AI to describe Winston Salem. Here are my latest examples for the group to read. I have 3 very long conversations in process with the AI and I've noticed the deeper I get in a conversation the more profound and insightful the AI gets with it's responses. One of the projects involves medical research, the second is a marketing consulting discussion, and the third is a book I'm working on and all the discussions are now more than 25 microsoft word pages long. Some of what the AI has done is freaking scary... lol!

Question:
If Winston Salem was a person (either male or female), how would this person (Winston Salem) introduce themself to an audience with the hope that those in the audience would want to get to know them further?
Open AI Answer:
If Winston-Salem were a person introducing themselves to an audience, they might say something like this:

"Hello, my name is Winston-Salem, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself to all of you today. I'm a city with a rich history and a bright future, and I'm eager to share my story with you.

I'm a city that's proud of my past, but I'm also constantly evolving and growing. I'm home to world-renowned universities and cutting-edge research facilities, and I'm constantly attracting new businesses and industries. I have a vibrant arts and culture scene, with museums, theaters, and galleries showcasing the best of local and global talent.

But more than anything, I'm a city with heart. I'm a place where neighbors look out for one another and where everyone is welcome. I have a strong sense of community and a rich tradition of Southern hospitality, and I believe that's what truly sets me apart.

I'm excited to get to know each and every one of you better, and I hope that you'll take the time to explore all that I have to offer. Whether you're looking for a place to call home or a destination for your next adventure, I'm confident that I have something for everyone. Thank you for giving me the chance to introduce myself, and I hope to see you soon."

Question:
If Winston Salem was a brand trying to convince a retail store to add it to there product line, write a sales pitch to convince the retail store to add the city of Winston Salem (brand) to their product line.

What would the sales pitch for the city to leverage it’s strengths?

Very interesting. I know nothing of ai, but it seems that all of this might be garnered from brochures promoting the city. Or, is it generated indicating what anyone would want to hear. Would the ai engine indicate the same about Des Moines.

I count only one internationally noted university, or is that national, or is that regional?

I’ve kept my work with the AI in threads on each subject and I’ve noticed the AI responses get much better VERY quickly. My Winston Salem section is just beginning, however, the other threads are getting quite long and I can tell the AI is “training” itself on the subject as I go along with each thread. One subject involves a thread about a perfume company and it’s about 30 microsoft word pages long. So this weekend for fun I ask the AI what it thought the brand strategy was and also tell me about the blend profile preferences of the perfumer based on the examples in the thread and also what I’ve told the AI model. The AI’s answer to both questions was so accurate it was scarry since I know the guy and his company personally. It nailed both answers by recognizing patterns in everything it knows and has learned about the subject. I also ask it what it thought about my personal thought processes for approaching problems (it took me a while to get my jaw up off the floor….lol) This told me that the AI wasn’t just doing “research”, but it was also doing some form of deductive reasoning from the learning/research process it was using on the subject as my “conversation” continues. I’ve been using the AI to help me attempt to write a book because I don’t have a clue how to do something like that and it’s ability to help me clarify my thoughts and guide me through the story line is also quite uncanny. I’m using the paid subscription model which according to their website is giving me a constantly upgraded AI. I’m assuming they still have a free option as well. It’s a fun exercise so give it a try!

Here's a good article about the process they use: https://www.marktechpost.com/2023/03/04 ... 0assistant.

Just for amusement, Wallet Hub’s “Happiest Cities in the US” This is absolutely hilarious - San Francisco number 5, Oakland, CA 13, etc., etc., etc. Raleigh 22, Charlotte 46, Durham 71, Winston-Salem 114, Greensboro 130 https://wallethub.com/edu/happiest-places-to-live/32619
