Notables from across the country will be in WS this month for a Symposium sponsored by The Decorative Arts Trust. The event is sold out, but the website looks interesting and describes tours of course of Reynolda, Graylyn, MESDA, the Ralph & Dewitt Chatham Hanes House and of the RJ Reynolds building, and also includes tours and excursions to Tom Gray's House in Clemmons, Ayr Mount in Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, and Roaring Gap. This symposium highlights the astounding architecture and influences of the wealth and culture of Winston-Salem on the region.

Also, MESDA was recently highlighted in a republished feature from an antiques magazine which expanded on it's 50th anniversary and the diligent work that has completely transformed this museum as an unsurpassed repository of Southern architecture, furniture, and decorative arts:
