...to be a part of the downtown revitalization (a small part). I recently started an awesome art gig at Mudpies East to add some murals to a few of their blank walls. Here is the progress.

I'm here for the summer. Still deciding between MD and W-S. I've discovered first hand that its really hard to find an apartment downtown. Even the AOL building has only one unit left. Since I'm so used to urban living, I feel more comfortable there. I don't like driving to every single destination.

I really want to experience that too. I'm trying to talk Lauren into selling this house, so we can move to Midtown. Everything we enjoy doing is in the city and this house is now worth slightly more than it was worth in 2007. The value was going down every year until 2012. In the city, we can live above a grocery store and coffee shop, with a balcony looking out at the mountain and skyline. Her favorite restaurants and some of our friends could be within a pleasant walking distance from our building's door. We could also walk or take transit to everything. I will admit to talking to two potential employers on my visit to Winston-Salem last month as well. I want that walkable, bicycle friendly environment.

Now's the time to live that lifestyle, F&M. Hope it works out for you. Plenty of time to move back out to the suburbs when the kids come and you'll need a yard. Although, it would be great if you could score a job to your liking here

Downtown is just about where I need it to be for me to feel comfortable. Grocery, drugstore, good food, beer, artsy and now bike friendly. I just wish there were more apt options. I guess that's a good problem to have. Units are becoming available way too far apart for me. About 300 units just broke around the same time. I wish project timelines were more evenly spaced.

This long stay back home allowed me to meet some great downtown supporters. All have been extremely excited about the progress. Great vibe down there.
